The Houston Texas South Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is preparing for TREK 2011. Many of the youth from church will leave behind phones, t.v., fast food, electricity, and many of the comforts of home to make a journey across rugged, uninhabited landscape in a spiritual journey to Press Forward in Faith. Our Stake President Ken Barrow wants the spirit of TREK to reach every individual in the stake, whether you have a family member attending TREK or not. Every family in the stake is invited to participate in a pioneer-themed family home evening on Monday night, March 14, 2011. We are providing one FHE booklet per family. They will be available for pickup from the foyers outside the chapel at each building in the Stake on Sunday, March 6th. Please watch for them, take one copy for your family, and join the families in the stake by using the booklet on Monday, March 14th to have a Family Home evening with songs, lessons, activities and treats geared to helping us become better acquainted with our pioneer forbears.
