friends of scouting

The Boy Scouts of America began 100 years ago in 1910. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has one of the first and longest relationships with the BSA. Scouting has a rich tradition of quality programs that help instill key principles in order to prepare all those involved for further development in both leadership and life. It requires more than the BSA receives in registration fees from Scouts. To help raise the necessary money for this worthwhile program, church members are offered the chance to participate in the annual Friends of Scouting fundraising campaign. The Friends of Scouting Campaign is underway, please consider a donation. Pledge cards are outside the clerk’s office.

Any amount is appreciated. Contact the Scout Committee Chairman, Juan Garcia, the Assistant District Commissioner, Harold Maddocks, or any of the Young Men leaders with any questions.
